Im terrible on talking about myself and would far rather get to know everything about you! However, seeing as we may spend a lot of time together at the biggest day of your life! Here’s a few things about me. Hello, I’m Naomi and a massive thank you for stopping by the site.
I specialise in relaxed, beautiful and elegant wedding photography and spend my time taking pictures of couple who are hopelessly in love. I live just outside the fancy Cotswolds but spend my time all over the UK and Italy photographing weddings.
I totally believe this is the best.job.ever. Like, ever! It’s taken a lot of years in training, education and on the job, but to do this full time, I feel so incredibly lucky. I’ve been professionally shooting for 15yrs since leaving University where I achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Editorial and Advertising Photography and I was also shortlisted for the Nikon Discovery Awards. I returned to study as a mature student after having the time of my life working in the hospitality industry in Birmingham, London and Leeds. Actually returning to specialise in food photography, I got swept into portraiture and then weddings. There’s something about the emotion, chaos and beauty of a wedding that I just found so addictive that I threw myself into it fully.
Its a crazy time at home at the moment, with 3 pre-schoolers and little child care but they came as very longed for, ‘6 go’s’ IVF twins and a ‘lets just leave it to fate’ IVF last go. For this reason, I can only take on a limited amount of weddings in 2024 and 2025. I set it like this for now, so I know I can dedicate my all to my couples and the kids and get some vague sense of balance (I mean, what is that!). Practically that means that dates do go quickly so if you like the work you see, don’t hang about on dropping me a line.
I pride myself on working hard. You won’t see me sitting about, I keep busy all day. I think I get that work ethic from my Dad, I’ve always been that way. I’ve a pretty dry sense of humour and love a couple who aren’t too caught up in the little things but just want to immerse themselves in the day.
However, none of this is as much of an honour as being asked to document a couples wedding. Being married myself, I truly know how important those images are…and how much I don’t like being front of the camera. To be invited in to spend the day with you and one or your biggest events as a family is really something I don’t take lightly. I promise you, your images are as important to me as they are to you.
If you have any questions at all, I would love to hear from you, so please do get in contact at anytime.
