Photography at a Cripps Barn Spring Wedding …
So, firstly, I apologise for so many images. I’ve read somewhere, guidelines for the amount of images in a blogpost, should be around 35ish…I’ve started with 163. I’ve got it down a little. Hey, who gives a hooter. My blog post, I’ll do wot I wants 😉
So, I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for what feels like aaaages. I met Nicole and her mum Fiona, a few months back for an initial meeting, I think I was one of the first photographers they met and I’d always encourage any couple to make sure you have a good look around as there is lots of fabulous talent out there, which I did say to Nicole too…whilst really hoping all the rest of the people were rubbish with bad breath (or at least something off putting!) as I so wanted to shoot this one. Anyway, as luck would have it, they booked. Hurrah!
During our initial chat, Nicole showed me a picture of her in her dress. …WOW, like serious WOW. And that wasn’t with hair or make up done. What amazingness would appear on their wedding day! I’d not heard of the designer before, Hayley Paige but it’s one of those times that I wish I’d know about her when I got married. Her work is just beautiful and looking at the boutique Coco + Kate in Hatton, where Nicole got the dress from, how you ever decide on just one from there, I will never know! It was all the right amount of glitz, elegance, fluff and fun.
The only one to match this beauty was Nick. Nothing against a blue suit, I love them as much as the next! But I do see quite a few which is why it was lush to see Nick looking super sharp in a pinstripe from Suit Supply in London.
The weather was a bit hit and miss, we had some intermittent torrentials. Only shame with that, was the guests couldn’t fully get out to everything that Cripps offers in the gardens but that really was the only downside. N&N, I’m not even sure I heard them mention it, which is just perfect. Their priorities were absolutely on having an amazing day with their loved ones and I think it all just reflects on what warm and genuine people they are.
The flowers on the tables were done by Nicole’s Godmum. Lush.
Gin lovers, you’ll love the styling. I’ve don’t get the feeling it was much of a hardship trying to empty those bottles!
N&N had a mountain of fabulous suppliers which I’ll link below and it was great working with the very talented videographer couple from Mrs Mashup, Aimee and Ben.
The other one to note was the band, Jamie Knight , I don’t know a huge amount about music, but it was a lovely Frank Sinatra feel with brass band, with a smattering of floor fillers in-between. It was fab to see so many people hit the dance floor and I was stoked to capture the couple doing some of their rock and roll! Wot movers!
