Photography at a winter wedding at Cripps Barn in Gloucestershire…
My first question…why aren’t we going to Australia, it’s freezing here! These lovey two, although from Essex, live out in Australia and have done for about a year. I totally get why they were coming back to the UK. Family and friends. I mean, a wedding isn’t a wedding without your loved ones and although after confirmation that winter was definitely here in the UK with lots of rain and cold mornings, actually, there is something really lovely about a winter wedding. You can make it so cosy. Especially at a venue like Cripps Barn. Lots of candles, big open fire, you couldn’t be toastier.
I met these two about a year ago at their friends wedding in Cheltenham, in fact it was the weekend they got engaged. It’s really nice to be chosen after someone has seen the way you work as you’re always super confident about being the perfect fit for their day.
I’ve been to Cripps a few times now and it’s just great whatever the season. Just outside Cirencester, it has a relaxed refinery about it and loads of outdoor space to explore. Nicola’s Jimmy Choos were very much put through their paces!
Nicola and her bridesmaids got ready down the road at Barnsley House near Cirencester, with it’s Spa and cinema, this made for some well chilled out ladies when I found them in the morning. All around me were the most incredible dresses. Nicolas was from Karen Willis Holmes in Australia. The bridesmaids dresses were off the scale!!!! Needle and Thread from ASOS. Now they can be on the pricey side but you can see why. And not to forget the boys in all this who were as sharp as pins in their Ted Bakers.
The day will always go by with precision at Cripps but it just flew. Their styling was gorgeous and only outshone by them and their family.
Thank you so much Nicola, Paul and your families for making me feel so welcome. It really was an honour to be able to share it with you, x
“Oh my god I literally cried like baby throughout all of them! Thank you so much! They’re amazing! You really captured the whole day I’m forever grateful 😘 You’ve done such an amazing job! Thank you so much 😘❤”
